Management

Eric Appleby is Forklift's Designer and Publisher. He earns his living as a computer whisperer, web designer and marketing hack for a regional wholesaler. For fun, he tap dances, collects vintage Waring Blendors, and plays in a variety of bands. He is also webmaster for H_NGM_N: an online journal of poetry, poetics &c.

Matt Hart is the Editor-in-Chief of Forklift, Ohio and the author of Who's Who Vivid (Slope Editions, 2006) and three chapbooks: Revelated (Hollyridge Press, 2005), Sonnet (H_NGM_N Books, 2006) and Simply Rocket (Lame House Press, 2007). His work has appeared in many print and online journals, including Gulf Coast, H_NGM_N, Jubilat, and Octopus. He is, as always, still trying to find a way to get Polyphemus, Todd Rundgren and Haruki Murakami into his bio permanently. Travel is his rock band. He makes a killer Huevos Rancheros—believe it!

Brett Price is from Cincinnati, OH and serves as Assistant Editor of Forklift, Ohio. He is working toward an MFA at Bard College. His writing can be found in such journals as H_NGM_N, OCTOPUS, THE INCLINER, and MILKMONEY. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Merrill Feitell is using her post as Contributing Editor to smuggle fiction writers into Forklift, Ohio. They may or may not be dangerous. They may or may not be recognized. Merrill's first book, Here Beneath Low-Flying Planes, won the Iowa Award for Short Fiction. She teaches in the Creative Writing program at University of Maryland and lives in Baltimore.

Tricia Suit carries on a number of family traditions in her role as Test Kitchen Director of Forklift, Ohio. In the 1930s-40s, her grandmother owned a westside Cincinnati diner called The Trolley; her father, a Marine, once had a job driving a forklift. She works as Marketing/Public Relations Manager for the Taft Museum of Art, sings for 7 Speed Vortex, and spends her free time spoiling her 90 lb. American Bulldog, Knuckles. She invites you to send her recipes, cooking/home economics tips, and mash notes.
